I’d visited Haight-Ashbury before and walked down Haight Street on my own, but I got so much more out of the area doing this tour with Greg. Over roughly two hours, he brings the music history, counterculture and architecture together in a way that gives the neighborhood so much more context.
Greg is funny, relaxed and incredibly passionate, and happy to answer questions along the way. He also brings an iPad to show relevant interviews and videos or play snippets of songs, which adds a lot to the stories.

Fun and informative! Time flew by as we casually toured the area learning all kinds of fun facts and interesting history. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area, more than a music tour, but you get all that and more. Greg is personable and entertaining, thanks again:)

I've taken Greg's tour before, and I loved it so much that I decided to do it again and somehow it was even better the second time. Greg is incredibly charismatic and has a natural ability to connect with everyone in the group. He keeps things fun, engaging, and interesting from start to finish.
What really stands out is how knowledgeable he is about San Francisco. He shares so many fascinating facts, local stories, and hidden gems that even after taking the tour once before, I still learned new things and saw the city from a different perspective. His enthusiasm for San Francisco is contagious and makes the experience even more enjoyable.

A great tour: Greg was incredibly approachable, personable and very well prepared. The matching music pieces and interview excerpts that he played on his tablet were particularly nice – that made the stories even more vivid. The tour was informative, entertaining and designed with a lot of love. Afterwards, there were photos and music recommendations for everyone. The experience is highly recommended!

Greg is the guy you really look forward to hangin’ with- quick witted, funny and very generous w his vast knowledge of SF, not only the music! Also a very kind and engaging person, Greg shows us the real heart of why we love SF so deeply💗 The walk is easy, the views, the architecture, some creative video clips from the actual artists and interviews- all brings the stories and histories to life in a very meaningful and b’ful way. Greg interacted so well with each of us- the teenagers to the young at hearts in our small group- the whole tour was a blast. This is a 10 star out of 5.

Greg is the best guide you could think of to discover SF: high energy, good mood, good jokes and a thousand fun facts about the neighborhood and its history. I wish I had a Greg with me any time I visit a new city.

This was such an excellent tour and Greg really knows so much history of music! He had short video clips occasionally to provide actual interviews with some of the artists. So many stories of this neighborhood, adding in so many extras about famous persons who have lived here and added to the flavor of this historic and currently funky area. Well worth the money!! Thanks Greg!!
